The well-known Bloomsbury Cultural Histories of particular subjects is moving into cultural histories of regions. We are excited to oversee a six-volume cultural history of Oceania (including Australia). The shift in focus necessarily challenges the typical span of most Bloomsbury Cultural Histories, as well as their usual conceptualisation of the topics, which repeat across the volumes. Our proposed Cultural History of Oceania will embrace roughly 60,000 years—from Deep Time to the Present. We have assembled more than a dozen editors to help us collate this exciting new series.
